Richardson will likely be the defensive captain for Oscar Smith in 2010. His leadership in 2009 took Oscar Smith to the State Semifinal in a season where they were nationally ranked throughout until a surprise loss to eventual State Champion Thomas Dale High School (near Richmond). His hard hits and nose for the ball led him to a great number of tackles in 2009. Richardson was first team All-Southeastern District and first team All-Eastern Region at Linebacker. Richardson attended the Army All-American combine in San Antonio, Texas as a part of the Army All-American Bowl.
