Hayes would be in the position to establish himself as captain of Bayside’s defense if it weren’t for Trey Nicholson. With both Nicholson and Hayes in the secondary, the Marlins should have an impressive defense next year. Hayes has the size to make a good transition to a high DI program after next season. Hayes plays Wide Receiver and Defensive Back, just like Nicholson, and rising sophomore QB Dion Stitt should see a big leap forward with a year of experience under his belt. Expect good things from Hayes in 2010.
