Holmes projects out in much the same way as Evan Hailes did before he was picked up by Penn State in 2009. Holmes doesn’t have quite the nose for the ball that Hailes did as an underclassman, but Holmes is a beast on the line and occupies space. He won’t have the benefit of Corey Steward and Hailes on the line beside him in 2010, so that will be a test in his senior year. Holmes will have to step up. Holmes was selected as second team All-Southeastern District at offensive line in 2009.
